after thunder —
silence.
A blue scrap of fog.
Life —
just one.
And death —
just one.
A fresh morning newspaper —
kinship with Humanity.
And just one planet:
Earth!
That's all.
And —
the interstellar road
and a dream of speed.
This, essentially, is —
not much.
This, generally,
— is a trifle.
A modest reward.
A low pedestal.
A man
needs
little.
If only someone
waited at home.
